Fic Request: Jen
So I finally sat down and churned something out of the very weird fic request Jen gave me about a month ago. Sorry for the long wait, Jen. Procrastination at its second best (If it was at its best, this ficlet wouldn’t turn up at all. LOL). Anyway, here we are… It IS lame, and I realize the insanity from which I am coming from in this ficlet. (Kinda using my initials because it’s weird if people Google search my name and find this)

Character(s): S’L and the rest of the Melonades, with cameos from Other People
Prompt: Pie
Disclaimer: I own only myself.
“Woah, S’L! Since when did you bake?!” Sue Mae asked incredulously, when I came out of the kitchen, pie in hand. I looked at her. “I like to bake,” I said. “Surely not pies?” Li Za asked, grinning. “Patience is a virtue, Li Za. Share the pie,” Min Shen joked. Li Za immediately gave a pout-smile.
“I know Jen’s thinking about Pushing Daisies,” I smirked. “I’m not. Min Shen probably is,” Jen retorted. “Hey! I’m not always thinking about Pushing Daisies, alright?” Min Shen defended herself. “So says Mrs LaurieBaleForemanPace,” I said.
I set the pie down onto the table. It was… a Pi pie. “WATERCRAB!” Sue Mae exclaimed. “A Pi pie! SO LAME!” We laughed. “How did you make this, S’L? Where’d you get… the mould?” Li Za asked, mouth stuffed full of Pi pie.
That’s a good question.
“Why‘d you make pie?”
That’s another good question.
“Did you bake it at 360°? Because π is 360°.”
What sort of a question was that?
“Did you have to integrate the pie to get the volume? Because volume of rotations is π∫y dx, right?”
What?!
…
I jolted awake, Add Maths reference book in front of me. I have been doing way too much Add Maths for the good of my sanity. Just then, Chooi Si walked into the class. “I brought pie to school today! Want some?” she perkily offered.
This is way too weird.

This sort of happened to me the other day. Except that it wasn’t Add Maths, and it wasn’t Pi pie. Heh.
Oh, and the Pi symbol may look a bit weird, but it’s because it’s in Arial font. If it was in Times New Roman, it’ll look like the normal, curvy Pi.
Shu Lyn!
I wasn’t asking you to hurry up with the writing lah.
Thanks for doing it anyway.
Mrs Pace, as in Mrs Lee Pace? I didn’t know she was also into Foreman.
LOL.
You weren’t rushing me, I know.
Yes, Mrs Pace as in Lee Pace. And Foreman as in the Switchfoot guy, Jon Foreman.
And I sometimes think about Heroes too, ok!
Ugh. I really have nothing better to do.
Hahaha what a story. I was laughing at the 360 thing.
Too much add maths.
